Man Hospitalized After Bike Hits Car Driving Through Intersection In Westchester
A 65-year-old man was taken to a hospital after a two-vehicle collision at a Westchester intersection. The crash happened in Yonkers on Thursday, Nov. 7 just before 5:30 p.m., when a car traveling through the intersection of Wakefield and Woodlawn Avenues on a green light was struck by a bicycle, according to Yonkers Police Sergeant Robert Spink. Spink said the bicyclist reported pain in his leg and hand and was taken to a nearby hospital. The vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene.

Election 2024: Winner Projected In 16th Congressional District Representing Much Of Westchester
The votes are in, and New York's 16th Congressional District now knows its next representative in Congress. A new poll shows Democrat Josh Riley with a four-point lead in the hotly contested 19th Congressional District 19 race against Republican incumbent Marc Molinaro. A man convicted for a Westchester County robbery is finally facing justice after fleeing his jail sentence for his home country more than four decades ago, police announced. Noel Hernandez, age 64, was flown back to Westchester on Friday, Oct. 18 to serve his jail sentence for a robbery in January 1981, the Westchester County Police Department said on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
