Winning Powerball Ticket Worth $50,000 Sold In Westchester Four third-prize winning Powerball tickets each worth $50,000 for the Saturday, April 1 drawing were purchased in New York.  They each have four matching numbers and the Powerball. The tickets were sold at: Food Mart in Westchester County on West Post Road in White Plains; 7-Eleven in Nassau County at on Berry Hill Road in Syosset; Hannaford store in Warre County on Quaker Road in Queensbury;  PMP Convenience in Queens, on Liberty Avenue in South Richmond Hill. The winning numbers for the Powerball drawing held on April 1 are: 11-19-21-29-52 and the Powerball is 17.

Woman Charged With Assaulting Bus Driver In Mount Pleasant Following a five-week investigation, a Westchester woman was arrested and charged with assaulting a Bee-Line bus driver last month outside the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, Westchester County Police said. Johniazia Torres, 24, of White Plains was charged with second-degree assault, a felony. She was arraigned Friday, July 19 in Mount Pleasant Town Court and released on her own recognizance. The Wednesday, June 12 attack occurred at 10:30 p.m. after Torres demanded that the driver allow her to get off the bus directly in front of the hospital entrance, police said. The dr…
