ID Released For Person Struck, Killed By Train In Hudson Valley
Officials with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority have released the identity of a man who was killed after being struck by a train in the Hudson Valley.
Paul Engel, age 67, of Manhattan, was killed in Orange County around 5:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17 in Scotchtown, a hamlet of the town of Wallkill.

According to the MTA, Engel was struck by a New Jersey Transit Authority train and confirmed dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing by the MTA Police.
Hudson Valley Woman Stole Nearly $30K Using Fake ID Card, Police Say
A Hudson Valley woman has been arrested for allegedly using a fake ID card to access a bank account and make off with more than $29,000.
Orange County resident tammy Granieri, age 56, of the town of Wallkill, was arrested on Wednesday, June 22.
Granieri was arrested following an investigation by state police into fraudulent transactions at different TD banks, said Trooper Steven Nevel, of the New York State Police.
The investigation revealed that Granieri used a stolen state driver’s license to obtain access to the victim’s bank account, Nevel said.

IDs Released In Hudson Valley Murder-Suicide At Restaurant Parking Lot Involving Off-Duty Cop
Police have released the names of two men killed during a murder-suicide in the parking lot of a Hudson Valley restaurant.
The incident took place in Orange County in the town of Wallkill around 10:30 p.m., Sunday, May 8.
When officers arrived on the scene at the Buffalo Wild Wings they found Sean Armstead, age 36, of Port Jervis, and Sullivan County resident Edward Wilkins, age 20, of Wurtsboro, said Lt. Robert McLymore, of the town of Wallkill Police.
Armstead was an officer with the NYPD, McLymore said.
