Two Killed After Jeep Crashes Off Road Into Ravine In Newtown Two occupants of a Jeep were killed after it crashed off the road and into a ravine overnight in Northern Fairfield County. The crash occurred on Route 34 (Berkshire Road) in the area of Jordan Hill Road in Newtown at about 2 a.m. Sunday, June 23, said Lt. Aaron Bahamonde of the Newtown Police Department. Police say that the older model Jeep Cherokee had driven off the westbound shoulder of Route 34 into a hundred foot, heavily wooded ravine, according to police.
