Lane Reduction To Slow Traffic On I-684 In North Castle: Here's Where Traffic on a stretch of I-684 in Westchester and Fairfield counties is set to be affected by a series of lane reductions, officials announced.  Both directions of Interstate 684 in North Castle and Greenwich, between Exit 2 (Route 120) and Exit 3 (Route 22) will be reduced to one lane on Wednesday, Sept. 4, and Thursday, Sept. 5, the New York State Department of Transportation announced.  The lane closures will be put into place between 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 5 a.m. on Thursday.  The traffic impacts will allow crews to perform bridge work, officials said.

Remains Found Near Route 22 Diner Linked To Woman Who Went Missing A human skull and skeletal remains found by a hunter near an area diner are believed to belong to a woman who went missing in 2017. The remains, which were discovered in Putnam County behind the Putnam Diner on Route 22, in Patterson could be those of Lealcria DeLima, 53, of Danbury. DeLima was last seen on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, leaving home in a 2016 red Honda after telling her two children that she loved them and was going to a local Walmart to pick up a prescription, said Danbury Police at the time. The crash, between a car and pickup truck, occurred just north of the rest area near I-84 during the evening commute on Thursday evening, Sept. 19. The left and middle lanes were closed with the car facing southbound in the northbound lanes. Before the crash scene was cleared just before 7 p.m. stop-and-go delays of two hours stretched back to Route 22/Route 138 (Exit 6A) in Goldens Bridge.

New York State Police troopers responded to the incident Putnam County at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 19. The investigation into the crash determined that an SUV was making a left into Kelly’s Corner in Brewster, when it was broadsided by a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The crash forced southbound lane closures.
