Beloved Firefighter, Instructor From Hudson Valley Dies
A Hudson Valley fire department has announced the loss of one of its active members. The death of Robert McDonald, a member of the Kent Fire Department in Putnam County, was announced by the department on Saturday, March 2. McDonald was a past lieutenant with the department and was also a New York State fire instructor. According to the department, McDonald taught countless volunteers in Putnam. Suspect Nabbed For String Of Commercial Burglaries In Hudson Valley, Police Say
A 64-year-old Hudson Valley man is facing charges in connection to a string of commercial burglaries. Robert McDonald, of Nanuet, was arrested on Monday, March 21, following an investigation into four burglaries that happened between Oct. 16 and Saturday, Jan. 1, according to the Clarkstown Police Department. The burglaries happened in the Nanuet area, police said.
