Blaze Sparks At Northern Westchester Restaurant A blaze at a Northern Westchester restaurant was stopped from being worse than it could have been thanks to the quick actions of firefighters.  The fire happened on Monday, June 6 just after 2:30 a.m. at Coral Seafood Restaurant in Yorktown Heights at 63 Route 6, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department, which helped respond to the blaze.  Thanks to the work of fire crews, more extensive damage to the building was prevented, the department said.  The cause of the fire was not released.

The fire took place in Northern Westchester County on Saturday, April 8 at the New York Firehouse Grille at 63 Welcher Ave., in Peekskill. Although no one was injured, the entire kitchen was destroyed.  The owners said on Facebook the restaurant will be closed while they deal with insurance and rebuild the kitchen. Fire Breaks Out At Restaurant In Westchester Firefighters were able to knock down a fire that broke out at an area Chinese restaurant, saving several other businesses in the process. The fire, at the Hunan III at 6 Cedar St., in Bronxville, started around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 from a build-up of grease in the broiler, said Eastchester Fire Chief Brian Tween. The department responded with 15 firefighters and found fire in a large broiler in the basement prep area on fire and the ductwork up to the roof also ignited, Tween said.
