The dramatic incident took place around 3:56 p.m., Sunday, July 14, when sheriff’s deputies, along with members of other emergency service agencies, responded to the bridge for a report of the man threatening to jump, said the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. The incident took place around 11:30 a.m., Monday, June 17, when the unnamed officer pulled over a Honda Accord for a traffic violation, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police. Fallen Trees Force Major Route 9 Closure In Westchester Wind damaged trees falling across Route 9 has necessitated a major north-south road closing late Monday afternoon, Feb. 25. As of just before 4:30 p.m., Route 9 is closed from the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery’s main entrance to the Phelps Memorial Hospital entrance.
