New, updated report - Update: 39-Year-Old Man Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash On Route 22 In North Castle Route 22 in the town of North Castle between Route 120 and Old Orchard Street reopened by around 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15 following a crash investigation, North Castle Police announced. Those in Northern Westchester may want to ensure their trash cans are inside, as several bear sightings have been reported along a busy main route in the area. In an announcement on Tuesday, June 25, North Castle Police said several bear sightings have been reported along the Route 128 corridor in the hamlet of Armonk near the border with New Castle. A customer using a self-checkout machine at a Westchester County grocery store received counterfeit bills as change, police say. On Monday, Oct. 24 at around 4 p.m., North Castle Police received a call from a person who reported receiving two $10 bills from a Stop & Shop in North White Plains at 670 North Broadway, according to police.
