Road Closure Alert Issued For Northern Westchester Street A busy Northern Westchester roadway will be closed for several days this week as crews continue work in the area. The Yorktown Police Department issued an alert warning that beginning on Wednesday, Quinlan Street will be closed immediately south of Manchester Road. The closures are expected to begin at 7 a.m. and last through approximately 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15. Residents who live in the area will be able to drive as far south as 3333 Quinlan St. Northbound - toward the Jefferson Valley Mall - residents can drive as far as 3322 Quinlan St. Police noted that there will be detours post…

Police Ramp Up Patrols After Fox Attacks In Northern Westchester Police have increased patrols and are reminding residents to remain vigilant after three people were bitten by a fox in Yorktown. The first attack occurred at 6 a.m. Saturday, when a jogger was bitten by a fox on Lee Boulevard. A second man was bitten in his backyard on North Deerfield Road at 8:30 a.m., and on Sunday at 12:30 p.m., a woman was bitten in her backyard. All three are receiving preventive rabies treatment.
