Parks, Recreation Employee From Westchester Dies At 52: 'Would Light Up Room' A parks and recreation employee who worked for a city in Westchester is being remembered for his ability to bring joy to others and his love of the water.  Lifelong Yonkers resident John Patterson died on Saturday, April 29 at the age of 52 with his family by his side, according to his obituary.  Born in 1971, Patterson attended schools in Yonkers and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1989.
