Man Faces Impaired Driving Charge After Crash In Area A man was arrested for alleged intoxicated driving after hitting a car in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Putnam County around 1 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16 in the town of Kent. Police responded to the Kent Center for a report of a man who had struck a car and was possibly intoxicated, the department said. One Killed In Single-Vehicle Taconic Parkway Crash One person was killed during a single-vehicle crash on the Taconic State Parkway. It happened around 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 7, in Putnam County in the right lane southbound in Kent, said Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police.  The roadway was closed for several hours following the crash for an investigation.
