Popular Sports Bar In Westchester Seized, Closed For Not Paying Taxes Fans of a popular Westchester sports bar were met by a locked door on Wednesday after the business was seized by the state for nonpayment of taxes. According to the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, Chuggers in New Rochelle was seized on Tuesday, Jan. 8 for not paying more than $9,000 in back taxes, said James Gazzale, a spokesman with the department. Suspect Charged For Firing Gun During Bar Fight In Westchester An arrest has been made after a man fired three gunshots during an altercation outside a Westchester bar over the weekend. Officers were dispatched to Chuggers bar in New Rochelle at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, when shots rang out during a dispute. Police said that three shell casings were recovered at the scene. The shooting prompted an investigation, which led to a suspect being identified.
