A beloved family from Northern Westchester that lost their home in a fire and is known for often lending help to their community is now receiving an outpouring of support in return. The Palmiotto family lost their Mohegan Lake home on Mohegan Avenue in a fire that started on the night of Saturday, Feb. 25 around 7:30 p.m., the same day as their son's birthday. A mother and son lost who lost all of their belongings in a Westchester County house fire are now seeking help from the community in rebuilding their lives. Police have released the name of a 72-year-old man who died in a Northern Westchester house fire. A Hudson Valley man was killed during a large house fire overnight. The fire took place in Orange County around 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 8 on Babes Lanes in the town of Newburgh.
