Fatal Hit-Run In Westchester: Victim ID'd, Unlicensed 24-Year-Old Suspect Nabbed An unlicensed suspect has been apprehended and a victim identified after a fatal hit-and-run crash in Westchester County. It happened just before 9:40 a.m. Friday, June 23 in Yonkers. Upon arrival, first responders located an unresponsive victim down in the street with blunt force trauma to his body; he was transported to a local area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, the Yonkers Police Department said.  The vehicle that allegedly struck him fled the area prior to police arrival.  Officers cordoned off the scene and initiated accident and criminal investigations.…

Hit-Run Suspect At Large: Man Hospitalized After Being Struck In Northern Westchester Police are currently searching for the suspect in a hit-run that left a pedestrian hospitalized in Northern Westchester.  The incident happened on Monday, June 12 around 10 p.m., when a 79-year-old man was hit by a car in the area of the 1000 block of Howard Street in Peekskill, according to Peekskill Police Lt. Adam Renwick.  The vehicle then drove away from the scene before authorities arrived, Renwick said.  The victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment following the incident.  The hit-run is now being investigated by Peekskill Police.  This…
