Body Of Young Woman Found Partially Submerged In Hudson Valley State Police responded to a 911 call for a body found in Wappinger Creek tributary stream accessible from Maloney Road in the town of Wappinger near the Lagrange town line on Tuesday, Feb. 27. The body of a deceased female, believed to be approximately 5-foot-3 and between the ages of 16 and 25 years old, was found partially submerged, according to police. Victim ID'd In Fatal Pedestrian, Truck/Car Collision Involving Carmel Man The Town of Poughkeepsie man who was killed after being struck by an empty dump truck and then a car on Lime Kiln Road late Thursday night has been identified. A preliminary investigation indicated that the victim, 44-year-old Rudolph Thompson of the Town of Poughkeepsie, was struck while in the southbound lane of Lime Kiln Road by a 2012 Peterbilt tractor hauling an empty dump trailer. The truck, which was traveling south, stopped immediately after the collision. After being hit by the tractor, Thompson was then struck a few moments later by a 2008 Ford Focus.
