Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Child In Westchester
A man is behind bars, accused of sexually abusing a child in the region. Charles Barbaro, age 53, of Brooklyn, was arrested Thursday, July 12, following an investigation by New York State Police and the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center. Investigators said Barbaro sexually assaulted a victim under the age of 13 in the village of Dobbs Ferry. He was arraigned on a felony charge of criminal sexual act before the village of Dobbs Ferry Court and ordered held at the Westchester County jail on $50,000 bond. Barbaro is due back in court Thursday, July 14.

FedEx Driver Accused Of Raping, Sexually Abusing Teens In Hudson Valley
A 30-year-old man is accused of raping and sexually abusing teenagers in the Hudson Valley during his workday as a FedEx driver. Ex-Area Teacher Admits To Child Porn Charge
A former elementary school teacher in the area who resigned amid child pornography charges has admitted to the crime. Steven Schwartz, 54, was indicted in May on seven counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child Dutchess County. This week, Schwartz pleaded guilty to one count of possessing a sexual performance by a child and is expected to be sentenced to 10 years probation and may receive jail time when he is sentenced on Feb. 5. A two-month investigation conducted by state police and the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man who allegedly sent sexual images to a minor. A Hudson Valley man has been charged with sexually assaulting a child following an investigation by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.
