Officials are warning residents to take precautions after a black bear was sighted multiple times near a university campus in Northern Westchester. The sightings occurred in the village of Pleasantville on Choate Lane near the campus of Pace University, Mount Pleasant Town Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi announced on Wednesday, June 7. Looking for a good excuse to get out of doing lawn work? A family in the area found the perfect one on Sunday. A large black bear interrupted them as they were fertilizing their lawn in Putnam County. After taking cover inside their home on North Knapp Court, they watched and took the above videos and photos of the unexpected visitor.
