Pleasantville, which remains unbeaten at 10-0, advances to a state quarterfinal Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. at Dietz Stadium, facing 8-1 New Paltz.
Westlake's only two losses came to the Panthers.
Westlake scored with around 4:00 to play to make it a one-score game, and nearly forced the Panthers into a quick punt on their next possession.
Instead, Pleasantville generated a critical first down with 2:55 left, and managed to kill the rest of the clock, sealing the victory.
Pleasantville's defensive MVP was Ian Esliker, and the offensive MVP was Westlake QB Rob DiNota (two TDs).
