Pace Athletics Promotions Win Two Gold Medals

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Pace University Athletics Department earned two gold medals at the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators Best of Awards ceremony in Dallas on Tuesday.

Pace received a gold medal for in the video promotion category for this Pace football video that launched the 2011 season with the first game against Stonehill College.

Pace’s second gold medal came in the student promotion category for this video and this Twitter account that promoted T-Bone, the university’s mascot. Pace created these to encourage current students and incoming freshmen to be more active in promoting campus events.

The ceremony was held at the annual National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics conference. The awards began in 2003 as a way to honor universities that achieve a high standard in marketing and promotions. There are 13 categories at the awards and each is divided based on conference affiliation and the size of the universities.

There were more than 950 entries for the 2011-12 academic year, a record for the competition.
