The point of the meeting was not about costs, according to Superintendent Mary Fox-Alter, but rather about rating facility upgrades in order of importance.

Buildings and Grounds Director Steve Chamberlain reviewed a list of facility repairs, replacements, and upgrades that were to be assessed by the forum participants, including the middle school roof, the district’s three turf fields and the track, security projects, masonry and asphalt repairs and more. Athletic Director John Bauerlein also provided usage statistics for the turf fields.

The participants then broke into four groups to discuss the projects, rate them in importance and add any other improvements not on the list.

The middle school roof, turf fields and track and security projects ranked among the top capitol projects for the district.
