Homecoming Weekend in Pleasantville

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – For Pleasantville High School, this weekend concludes a week of spirit days in the classroom with many great events outside of the school as a part of homecoming week.  These events can be great ways for students of past and present to go out and show Panthers pride!

Friday night, the class of 2012 will hold its pasta dinner from 6-7:30 p.m.  Following the dinner, the students will move into the gymnasium where the fall pep rally will be held and a bonfire will take place outside to support the fall athletic teams.  Then, from 9-11 p.m., the students will have their homecoming dance in the cafeteria where a battle of the bands contest will also take place.

Saturday morning, Pleasantville High School will hold their brick laying ceremony for all current and former students that purchased bricks in the new alumni plaza just outside the high school.  The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. and will be followed by a building dedication ceremony at 10:30 a.m.  From 10 a.m. until noon, the school will also hold public tours for parents and others to come and view the new construction throughout the building.

The weekend is culminated by the homecoming football game Saturday night.  The Pleasantville Panthers will square off against Briarcliff High School under the lights at Parkway Field in the final game of the regular season.  The Panthers are currently 2-4 and will look to end the season on a high note with a win.  The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
