An armed robbery that caused school lockouts and a manhunt in the village of Buchanan on Monday is under investigation by the New York State Police and the Buchanan Police Department.

The incident took place just before 10 a.m. Monday on Bleakley Avenue when a dark-skinned male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with a white and red face mask held victims at knifepoint in a small business office on Bleakley Avenue near Broadway, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.

One victim reported being tied up by the suspect. The suspect fled then the scene with an unknown amount of cash in a black four-door sedan in an unknown direction, Hicks said.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or possible information regarding a suspect please contact the New York State Police at 914-769-2600.
