The woman who police said is under the age of 30, but possibly as young as 18, was found on Glenville Road near Stillman Lane.

During a press conference, officers said there was no doubt the woman had been murdered, but they did not have a cause of death or whether she was killed in the area or dumped in the quiet, residential spot near the Merrit Parkway.

"We are continuing to follow-up on all leads and are currently focused on making a positive identification of the victim," said Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz.

Slusarz says numerous leads have been obtained from the public, and officers are following up on all.

Police said it was not clear when the murder took place.

"We continue to encourage anyone with information to call us," he said.

An autopsy is scheduled for later today.
