Man Menaces Victim With Baseball Bat, Breaks Car Windows In Northern Westchester, Police Say

A 31-year-old man is behind bars after state police say he menaced a victim with a baseball bat and broke several car windows.

Troopers responded to Dogwood Road in the town of Cortlandt for a reported neighbor dispute on Saturday, Jan. 12.

Investigation by the troopers discovered the suspect, Anthony W. Perez of Yonkers, arrived at the residence, engaged in a domestic dispute with the current resident, and engaged in a dispute with separate victim outside, state police said.

During the dispute, Perez menaced the male victim outside with a baseball bat and broke several of his vehicle windows, according to police.

Perez was charged with third-degree criminal, a Class E felony, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both class A misdemeanors.

Perez was arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court, and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in leu of $1,500.00 cash bail or $5,000.00 bond. He is next to appear before the Court on Thursday, Jan. 24.
