The man was going around his deck in the rear of his yard when he fell head first down an embankment a little after noon, according to Lt. Robert Miliambro of the Mount Pleasant Police.
The man crawled up six feet and was able to call for help, Miliambro said. He suffered broken fingers and superficial lacerations throughout his body, Miliambro said.
Hawthorne Ambulance Corps transferred him to Westchester Medical Center, Miliambro said.
