PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. John R. Betley of Pleasantville died Sept. 1. He was 57.
He was born Sept. 28, 1954, in Yonkers to Helen and Walter Betley. He was married to Elke Betley, who survives him.
Betley is also survived by four children, Jonathan, Courtney, Peter and Brittany; and a sister, Geraldine (Chuck) Sumprer.
Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Beecher Funeral Home in Pleasantville. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Pleasantville. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Yonkers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Emanuel Lutheran Church.
