The project, which aims to alleviate flooding along oft-underwater sections of the parkway, is likely to force closures and detours throughout the construction, according to The Examiner.

Pleasantville Village Administrator Patricia Dwyer said she and others in Pleasantville are "not happy about the impact" of the construction project, according to The Examiner.

The first phase of the project is scheduled to take place this week through July 1 between 9 p.m.-6 a.m., according to The Examiner. The work will force closures between Marble Avenue and Grant Street in both directions, according to The Examiner.
