Man Caught With Large Amount Of PCP During Drug Bust At Northern Westchester Home: Police

A 45-year-old man was apprehended after a search of his Northern Westchester home resulted in the discovery of large amounts of drugs, police announced.

The search occurred at the Underhill Crossing apartments in Yorktown.

Yorktown resident Lamar Kingwood was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 12 following a search of his residence, Yorktown Police said on Friday, Nov. 15.

According to the department, at 6 a.m. on the day of Kingwood's arrest, Yorktown officers as well as federal and local law enforcement executed a search warrant at his home at the Underhill Crossing apartments on Underhill Avenue.

Inside, investigators found a "large quantity" of phencyclidine (PCP), police said.

Kingwood was then arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. After his processing, he was released on his own recognizance pending an appearance in the Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, Nov. 26.
