While in Washington, the teens will learn about the governmental lobbying process and will prepare position papers on key social issues. They will then present their papers to representatives and staff in Congress.
Sponsored by the Union of Reform Congregations, a national Jewish organization, the Religious Action Center advocates for social action involvement. “We are proud to have our teens participate in this worthy cause,” said Rabbi Jason Nevarez, the Temple rabbi who is leading the trip. “It is a great learning experience for all those involved.”
