Community Advisor“GirlsnGear” is my motto. Recently this September, I began my journey to propose and mastery and my true calling to help promote STEAM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) in the schools and the community and to help foster the make, design play mentality. After working in the Financial Industry as a Senior Executive Assistant at JPMorgan Private Bank for 13 years I decided to leave and go back to school full time to complete BA/MPA in Environmental Studies to help acquire the other skills needed to pursue. Along with my husband Don Saldicco, Technology/Engineering Teacher at Carmel High School, NY together we coach a FIRST FRC Robotics Team 5943 “The Bad News Gears”. My focus is to help mentor the female students to help empower them and give them confidence needed to fulfill their dreams and find their true potential in STEM fields. Together we are teaching them how to use their individual strengths to collaborate and work together on common goal and how to apply the knowledge on a global scale through more than Robots, fundraising team work, finance, business skills, networking, strategizing, etc.
My job is a connector, making networks and connecting individuals groups and people in collaboration to work towards making a greater impact in the STEM Education and Pedagogy in a creative way.
Member of the New York Hall of Science President’s Council it is a marvelous organization that is a national leader in shaping science and technology learning, and is doing a lot in our local community to create state-of-the-art museum experiences for New Yorkers and train the next generation of young scientists.
I am a resident of Brewster, NY along with my husband Don and five year old son Logan. I enjoy making, creating connections, yoga, gardening, music and dance
