Car Plunges Down Stone Wall In Westchester

Emergency crews responded to a serious crash after a vehicle veered off a stone wall in Westchester and landed in a driveway below, fire officials said.

The incident happened just before 4 a.m. on Sunday, March 16, when a vehicle drove off Croton Dam Road (Route 134) in Millwood into a driveway below grade, according to the Millwood Fire Department. 

Millwood firefighters along with the Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps, New Castle Police, and Westchester County EMS were dispatched to the scene and found the car at a 45-degree angle between the ground and the wall, as seen in a photo released by the department. 

Firefighters assisted with patient care and hazard mitigation, while an additional ambulance was called in due to multiple victims requiring transport for medical treatment.

Millwood firefighters remained on the scene for nearly two hours before clearing the area and returning to service. The extent of the victims' injuries was not disclosed.
