Update, 2:50 p.m. - The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning and a flash flood warning for Pelham through Friday night.
PELHAM, N.Y. The National Weather Service predicts a heavy rain and thunderstorms in Pelham for the remainder of the afternoon and into tonight until approximately 10 p.m.
Afternoon storms could produce strong winds and heavy rain with an 80 percent chance of precipitation. The high temperature will be approximately 83 degrees.
The National Weather Service predicts a 60 percent chance of precipitation with the possibility of showers and thunderstorms tonight. The low temperature tonight will be approximately 69 degrees.
Mostly sunny skies are set to return tomorrow.
