Westchester Native Who Served In Navy, Worked As Physical Therapist Dies
A native of Northern Westchester who served in the military and worked as a physical therapist has died.
Peter E. Clark, who was born in Mount Kisco and graduated from Fox Lane High School in Bedford, was age 62.
He died on Sunday, April 30, and was a longtime resident of Palm Harbor, Florida.
After growing up in Bedford and graduating high school, he joined the US Navy and served his time in honor of his country out at sea during the time of the Libyan Crisis, according to his obituary.

Covid-19: US Navy Commander Fired For Refusing To Get Vaccine, Tested
A US Navy commander has been relieved of his duties for refusing to get a COVID-19 vaccine and refusing to be tested for the virus, Navy officials said, according to multiple reports.
Cmdr. Lucian Kins was fired as second in command of the USS Winston Churchill, a destroyer, by Navy Capt. Ken Anderson, commander of the destroyer, on Friday, Dec. 10, according to Stars and Stripes, the daily American military newspaper.

David (“Dave”) Gates Lyons, 79, and a 10-year resident of Deale, MD, died on Monday, Aug. 2 at his home.
Born on February 28, 1942 in Bryn Mawr, PA to the late Charles and Gertrude Lyons, Dave graduated from Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua in 1960. He achieved Eagle Scout rank and went on to earn a BSME degree from Lehigh University in 1964 and a MBA degree in Finance from Columbia University in 1969.

Covid-19: 1,243 New Cases In Westchester As Statewide Total Hits 44,635
There have been 7,377 more confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in New York, bringing the total statewide to 44,635, tops in the nation.
New York remains the state most plagued by the virus, with 44,635 cases that resulted in 519 deaths, up from 385 the day before. New Jersey has the next most confirmed cases with 6,876, followed by California (4,060), Washington (3,208), and Michigan (2,878).

An award-winning historian who called the Hudson Valley home for much of his life, died in his Westchester home.
Robert K. Massie, an author and historian of Europe and pre-Revolutionary Russia, died in Irvington on Monday, Dec. 2. Massie, who was 90 years old, had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease at the time of his death.

George Herbert Walker Bush, the 41st president of the United States, died late Friday night, Nov. 30, at his home in Houston. He was 94.

Bush, who was president from 2001 to 2009, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who ran for president in 2016.

Westchester native Ralph J. Giordano, 70, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Kindred Hospital in Melbourne, Florida.
Ralph was born in Mount Vernon. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and had been an Operating Engineer for the City of New York prior to his retirement.
Ralph was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Friends of Jupiter Beach. His family also remembers him as one who loved animals.
