I-684 Crash Sends Vehicle Into Woods A serious crash due to snowy and slippery roads shut down southbound lanes of I-684 in Westchester County for a couple of hours during the action on Monday, March 23. The crash, which sent a vehicle into the woods, took place around 1:50 p.m., said New York State Polie. Southbound lanes in Bedford between Exits 4 and 5 were closed while the crash was cleared.  Details surrounding the crash and injuries were not available.

I-684 Crash Sends Car Into Woods, Injuring Driver One lane of I-684 in Northern Westchester was closed due to a single-vehicle crash that injured one person. The crash took place around 9:21 a.m., Wednesday, March 18, northbound on I-684 in Armonk, when a vehicle overturned and landed in a wooded area, said New York State Police. According to state police, the right lane of traffic was temporarily closed for removal of the vehicle. The person received minor injuries, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Currently, there are no existing delays.

The crash took place late Monday, Feb. 17 on Route 121 in Bedford when the horse had gotten loose and was in the roadway, said the Bedford Fire Department. Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle In Westchester A pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle on a busy Westchester roadway has died. The incident took place around 12:05 p.m., Friday, Jan. 24, at Route 119 (Tarrytown Road) and Aqueduct Road, said Greenburgh Police Lt. Kobie Powell. When officers arrived on the scene they found the man in the roadway.  He was transported by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center where he died from his injuries, Powell said.  The identity of the victim is being withheld pending the notification of his family, he added. Crash Causes Delays On I-684 A crash caused southbound delays of up to seven miles on I-684 at the tail-end of the morning commute. The crash took place southbound around 8 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 15, near Exit 2 for Route 120 in North Castle, said the New York State Police. The right and center lanes were closed immediately after the crash before the center lane was cleared a short time later. All lanes were reopened by 9:45 a.m., with up to two-mile backups remaining. Woman Critically Injured After Being Hit By Vehicle While Crossing Westchester Roadway A woman was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle while walking across a busy roadway in Westchester. It happened at approximately 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13 in Hartsdale. The 71-year-old woman was struck as she was walking across East Hartsdale Avenue in the vicinity of 50 East Hartsdale Avenue, Greenburgh Police said.
