I-684 Crash Sends Vehicle Into Woods A serious crash due to snowy and slippery roads shut down southbound lanes of I-684 in Westchester County for a couple of hours during the action on Monday, March 23. The crash, which sent a vehicle into the woods, took place around 1:50 p.m., said New York State Polie. Southbound lanes in Bedford between Exits 4 and 5 were closed while the crash was cleared.  Details surrounding the crash and injuries were not available.

The crash took place around 9:21 a.m., Wednesday, March 18, northbound on I-684 in Armonk, when a vehicle overturned and landed in a wooded area, said New York State Police. According to state police, the right lane of traffic was temporarily closed for removal of the vehicle. The person received minor injuries, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Currently, there are no existing delays.

The incident took place around 12:05 p.m., Friday, Jan. 24, at Route 119 (Tarrytown Road) and Aqueduct Road, said Greenburgh Police Lt. Kobie Powell. Crash Causes Delays On I-684 A crash caused southbound delays of up to seven miles on I-684 at the tail-end of the morning commute. The crash took place southbound around 8 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 15, near Exit 2 for Route 120 in North Castle, said the New York State Police. The right and center lanes were closed immediately after the crash before the center lane was cleared a short time later. All lanes were reopened by 9:45 a.m., with up to two-mile backups remaining. Woman Critically Injured After Being Hit By Vehicle While Crossing Westchester Roadway A woman was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle while walking across a busy roadway in Westchester. It happened at approximately 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13 in Hartsdale. The 71-year-old woman was struck as she was walking across East Hartsdale Avenue in the vicinity of 50 East Hartsdale Avenue, Greenburgh Police said. Officers who were called to the scene observed the victim lying injured in the roadway of the eastbound lane of East Hartsdale Avenue.  Greenburgh Police EMS rendered aid and transported the victim to a local hospital.
