Covid-19: School Staff Member In Westchester Tests Positive A staff member at a Westchester school has tested positive for novel coronavirus. Bronxville Schools Superintendent Roy Montesano issued an alert to parents on Wednesday stating that a member of the staff at The Bronxville School tested positive for COVID-19. Montesano noted that the school has been closed since Friday, March 13, leaving nearly two weeks since anyone has been in group contact in the district. Westchester School Floods, Classes Canceled For Wednesday Flooding forced an emergency dismissal at The Bronxville School building on Tuesday and will lead to a canceled day of classes on Wednesday as crews continue cleaning up. Bronxville Schools Superintendent Roy Montesano was forced to make a tough call on Tuesday, to have an emergency dismissal as water permeated portions of the first floor of the school, mainly from Meadow Avenue. Montesano noted that both water pumps are working at full capacity, despite the flooding. He said they may have helped avoid a more significant flooding event.
