Authorities In Hudson Valley Monitoring Bomb Threats Targeting NY Synagogues Authorities in the Hudson Valley are monitoring bomb threats sent over email targeting synagogues across New York as Rosh Hashanah comes to a close. Arrest Made After Swastikas Found Inside Synagogue In Hudson Valley A Hudson Valley man has been arrested for allegedly scrawling swastikas and hate speech inside an area synagogue. Rockland County resident Rolando DeJesus Gomez-Velazquez, age 32, of Hillcrest, was arrested following an investigation into the incident which took place on Friday, June 17. In addition to the drawings and hate speech, Gomez-Velazquez allegedly also damaged several items inside the synagogue, said Det. Lt. Christopher Franklin, of the Ramapo Police.
