Latest Round Of Daytime I-684 Lane Closures Scheduled
There will be single- and double-lane closures on I-684 in Westchester for two days next week as contracting crews perform maintenance activities in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert to area residents warning that from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24 and Tuesday, Sept. 25 in North Castle and Harrison, there will be southbound lane closures on the interstate between exit 2 (Route 120) and exit 3 (Route 22). Four-Alarm Blaze Destroys Route 22 Restaurant, Apartments
This story has been updated. A four-alarm fire destroyed a restaurant and adjoining apartments and led to the hours-long closure of a stretch of Route 22 in the area, according to fire officials. Have you seen him? State Police are asking for the public's help in locating a teen who has gone missing from a residential facility for troubled young men from the New York area. At approximately 7:30 p,m. Saturday, March 31, state police received reports from staffers that Keener Mendez-Estaeban ran away from the Berkshire Farms Center in the Town of Canaan. Mendez-Estaeban is described as being 5-foot-6, 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Pair Nabbed For Having Sex In Route 22 McDonald's Parking Lot, Police Say
A man and woman are facing charges after being busted having sex in a McDonald’s parking lot on Route 22 in Dutchess County, according to state police. New York State Police troopers were dispatched to the McDonald’s location in Dover at approximately 12:20 p.m. on Thursday afternoon to assist a concerned citizen who “reported inappropriate behavior,” according to a spokesperson. Numerous Incidents Reported On Slick Area Roadways
This story has been updated. Numerous accidents are being reported Friday morning amid the slick road conditions as a result of the Nor'easter. A stretch of the Taconic State Parkway was closed both ways between Bryant Pond Road and I-84 due to a large downed tree and multiple accidents until about 10 a.m., with traffic backed up to the Westchester/Putnam border.
