Person Found Dead On Metro-North Tracks In Westchester

The driver of a car who died after his vehicle fell nearly 40 feet off a gated embankment near a train station in Westchester has been identified. Joseph Kerker, 67, of New Rochelle, was killed when the Toyota he was driving veered off the road and through a fence late Saturday afternoon near the Mount Vernon East train station at the intersection of First Avenue and First Street, said the Mount Vernon Polie The MTA and Mount Vernon Police Department are working jointly to investigate the incident. The driver of a car that fell nearly 40 feet off a gated embankment near a train station in Westchester has died.The motorist, described as an elderly man, was driving a Toyota which veered off the road and through a fence late Saturday afternoon near the Mount Vernon East train station at the intersection of 1st Avenue and 1st Street.
