Worker Shot While Collecting Garbage In Westchester: Suspect At Large Authorities are searching for a suspect who shot a public works employee in Westchester while they were collecting garbage.  The incident happened on Friday, July 7 just before 8:30 a.m., when Mount Vernon Police responded to the area of 50 North Terrace Ave. for a reported shooting, according to Mount Vernon Director of Communications Timothy Allen.  Once officers arrived at the scene of the shooting, they found 25-year-old Daquan Moore, a Mount Vernon Department of Public Works employee, with gunshot wounds to both of his legs.
