A man faces charges after making away with numerous pieces of clothing from a BJ's Wholesale Club in Northern Westchester, police said. The theft happened on Monday, Dec. 12 around 8:30 p.m., when police were notified of a larceny at the BJ's Club located in Yorktown at 3303 Crompond Rd., Yorktown Police announced on Tuesday, Feb. 21. After investigating the incident, police determined that the suspect had stolen five items of clothing worth $98 from display shelves and had left the store without trying to pay for them. Lane Closures: Major State Route In Westchester To Be Affected For More Than Week
Commuters are being warned that a major state route in Northern Westchester will soon be affected by lane closures. Starting on Tuesday, Feb. 14, one lane of State Route 9A in both directions will close between State Route 117 in Mount Pleasant and US Route 9 in Ossining, the New York Department of Transportation announced. The closures will be in effect on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. until Wednesday, Feb. 22, weather permitting. The lane closures are being implemented to allow for roadway work.

A New York State Trooper is charged with issuing more than 30 false tickets while patrolling parkways, officials said. Lane Closures: Parkway In Westchester To Be Affected Multiple Days
Traffic on a major parkway in Northern Westchester will soon be affected by lane closures that will last for multiple days. Beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 1, two lanes along the northbound Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant between State Route 100 and the Taconic State Parkway will close, Department of Transportation officials said. A derelict house in Northern Westchester was demolished after town officials repeatedly tried and failed to get the owners to repair it. Two teens were nabbed for allegedly having a weapon following a chase in Northern Westchester. The incident took place on Wednesday, Sept. 7 on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Mount Pleasant.
