Car Crashes Into Store In Westchester A store in Westchester was damaged when a woman crashed her car into it.  The crash happened on Friday, Aug. 2 just after 8:30 a.m., when a car crashed into the Mattress Firm store in Hartsdale at 84 South Central Ave. According to the Hartsdale Fire Department, the car was found 50 feet into the store with the front driver's side over the basement stairwell. Because of this precarious position, the car had to be stabilized before the driver and passenger were freed. Nation's Largest Mattress Retailer Will Close 700 Stores Mattress Firm, the nation's largest mattress retailer, will close 700 stores nationwide, including four in New York, after filing for bankruptcy. It has more than 3,200 stores and nearly 10,000 employees in the U.S. and in recent years had aggressively expanded its retail footprint.
