Body Of 20-Year-Old Woman Found In New Rochelle Apartment: Suspect Charged A suspect faces murder charges following the discovery of a 20-year-old woman's body in a Westchester apartment, police said.  The arrest resulted from an incident on Friday, Sept. 15, when New Rochelle PD received a report of a body being seen in a third-floor apartment of a multi-family home on Franklin Avenue, according to New Rochelle Police Captain J. Residents Rescued After Apartment Fire Breaks Out In New Rochelle Three police officers suffered injuries as they helped rescue residents when a fire broke out in a Westchester apartment building. New Rochelle Police Officer Timothy Childs was on patrol shortly after 9 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20 on Pelham Road when he saw smoke coming from a six-unit Franklin Avenue apartment building, prompting him to leap into action.
