Three Serious Crashes Occur In Peekskill In 24-Hour Span While most of the country was spending Memorial Day Weekend celebrating the holiday, first responders in Peekskill were busy, responding to several serious accidents in a 24-hour span. Members of the Peekskill Volunteer Ambulance Corps. and Cortlandt-Peekskill Regional Paramedics and Peekskill Fire Department were dispatched to Welcher Avenue at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 25, where there was a report of a rollover crash. Pickup Truck Bursts Into Flames After Crash At I-684/Saw Mill Junction This story has been updated. Smoke was sent billowing through the air when a pickup truck became fully engulfed in flames at the merger of I-684 and the Saw Mill River Parkway on Thursday morning. First responders were dispatched at approximately 11 a.m. to I-684, at the Saw Mill River Parkway juncture near exit 43 in Katonah, where there was a multi-vehicle crash that left one car in flames near the guardrail of the southbound lanes.
