Duo From New Rochelle Indicted For Murder Of 20-Year-Old Woman Two men have been charged with murder for their roles in the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old woman in Westchester. Mount Vernon resident Aaliyah Waiters was shot and killed on Saturday, Sept. 25 after she was struck in the head by a bullet at approximately 2:30 a.m. on South Third Street in the city. She was with a group in Mount Vernon when she suffered the gunshot wound. Waiters was transported to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, put on life support, and pronounced dead days later. Two Suspects On Loose After Attempted Armed Robbery Of Westchester Woman Walking Dogs Police are on the hunt for two suspects who attempted to rob a woman at gunpoint on Thanksgiving Day. The incident took place while the Scarsdale woman was walking her dogs in the village on Popham Road Thursday, Nov. 22. The woman said she was approached by the two men who asked for money, police said. When the woman turned toward the men, she saw a handgun and screamed, causing the men to flee the scene.  Descriptions of the suspects were not released.
