After several busloads of migrants and asylum seekers arrived in a Hudson Valley town without warning, the county has been granted a temporary restraining order barring more. Dutchess County was granted the order by Dutchess County Supreme Court Judge Maria Rosa on Tuesday, May 23, said Dutchess County Executive William O'Neil. Alert Issued For Possible Rabid Skunks In Hudson Valley Town
Residents in one Hudson Valley town are being warned that aggressive skunks have been seen in the area and may be rabid. The incidents took place in Dutchess County in the area of Rochdale Road in the town of Poughkeepsie on Sunday, Oct. 30, and Tuesday, Nov. 1, said the Dutchess County Department of Behavioral & Community Health. Fourth Hudson Valley Resident Dies From

The fourth death in the Hudson Valley related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has been reported. The Dutchess County Department of Behavioral & Community Health confirmed the first death relating to COVID-19 in Dutchess County. The other three COVID-19 related deaths in the Hudson Valley were all in Rockland.
