Driver Flees Scene Of 2-Car Crash On Busy Route In Westchester A driver had to be located by authorities after running from the scene of a crash on a busy route in Northern Westchester, fire officials said. The crash happened on Thursday, Jan. 18 around 10:30 p.m., when two vehicles collided on northbound Route 9 in Croton-on-Hudson near Croton Point Avenue, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.  Arriving crews discovered that one of the drivers had apparently fled the crash scene on foot. Young Girl Rescued After Getting Stuck In Swing At Park In Westchester First responders and police were dispatched to a park in Northern Westchester after a girl became trapped in a swing.  The incident happened on Saturday, Sept. 9 around 12:30 p.m., when firefighters and police responded to Senasqua Park in Croton-on-Hudson, where a young girl had become stuck in a swing with possible injuries to her legs, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department. Driver At Large After Fleeing From Crash In Northern Westchester Police are on the hunt for a driver who narrowly missed a building after crashing in Northern Westchester on Monday night, Feb. 11. The incident on Old Post Road North was reported around 11 p.m. by an On-Star operator, and several passersby, the Croton Police said. Car Crashes Off Road In Westchester A motorist managed to escape injuries in a single-vehicle overnight crash in which a car went off the road in Northern Westchester. It happened around 4:15 a.m. Saturday on the 60 block of Grant Street, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department. The vehicle left the roadway before coming to a stop against a tree, the department said. The driver not injured and declined medical treatment. CFD units remained on scene while a local tow truck removed the car. Croton EMS, Ossining Paramedic Unit and Croton Police also responded.
