Pelham Rugby Club Taking Summer Camp Applications

PELHAM, N.Y. – The Pelham Rugby Club will hold a summer clinic in July and is currently accepting registration for the camp.

The club, in conjunction with Pelham Recreation, will host the clinic at Prospect Hill Elementary School the week of July 16 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Middle school children will have a fitness component.

Pelham Rugby will begin its fall season with practices on Mondays and Fridays beginning Sept. 16. Flag rugby practice for grades two through five will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Flag practice for grades six and up will run from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., and tackle practice for grades six through nine will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Elementary players can participate in tournaments at Chelsea Waterside Park on Sundays, and middle school players can play in tournaments at Randall’s Island on Saturdays. Tackle players can participate in flag practices if they choose.
