PELHAM, N.Y. Pelham Little Leagues Majors Division playoffs will continue to narrow the field on Tuesday as the league nears the crowning of its 2012 champion.
The Athletics will face the Royals on Tuesday at Friendship Field, while the Cubs will face the Orioles at Richie Bell Field. The Giants and Indians will play in the final third round game on Thursday at Friendship Field.
The double-elimination playoffs began with the first round last Wednesday when the Indians defeated the Marlins and the Athletics beat the Cubs. On Thursday, the Orioles toppled the Giants and the Royals defeated the Angels.
In the second round on Saturday, the Athletics knocked off the Indians and the Royals beat the Orioles. The Cubs knocked out the Marlins and the Giants eliminated the Angels to narrow the field from eight teams to six.
