PELHAM, N.Y. Pelham diver Jennifer Bell finished second in the country in platform diving in the 11-and-under girls age group at the AAU National Diving Championships in Huntersville, N.C.
Bell was in first place until the final dive of the afternoon when the eventual winner stepped onto the platform and overtook Bell with her final dive. Bell finished just 0.3 point out of first place with a score of 144.20.
Bell will also compete in the three-meter springboard event on Thursday and one-meter springboard event on Saturday.
